Finding our ground in challenging times

Relaxing after a mindful running session

Finding our ground in challenging times - an urban mindful running workshop

We are all familiar with those times when life or present moment circumstances can easily knock us off balance. These are situations where we need resources to draw upon that can help us find our ground so we can act from a place of centredness.

Our RUN-ZEN events and courses uniquely offer an immersion in  mindfulness-based practices which we also explore through their integration with physical activity such as running.

In this half-day workshop we will share and investigate practices with a focus on self-care and personal agency to help us find our ground in challenging times.

Your workshop take-aways

Through a combination of practices we will investigate together the value of developing skills in cultivating awareness, embodiment and relaxation.

By the end of the session, you will have learnt:

  • New mindfulness-based skills and insights to better support you at times of challenge

  • How to apply and develop these skills when running or through other physical activity

This workshop revolutionized my running. I stopped listening to music whilst running and instead started paying attention to my feet, body and the surroundings. I started forefoot running and adjusted my posture, which means I have been injury free since then. No more shin splints and itb pain.
