The perfect way to support your health and wellbeing

Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing (TMW) is a unique blend of gentle movement with awareness, offering physical, mental and emotional benefits. Over the six weeks of the course, you will learn the 12-move TMW Flex Sequence and by the end be able to guide yourself through the whole practice.

How fit do I need to be?

The beauty of the TMW sequence is that it can be done standing or seated, so it is easily adapted to suit all abilities. When registering for the course, you will be asked to share details of any health conditions etc that we should be aware of.

If you have any concerns at all about whether TMW is suitable for you, please email Stuart at stuartmcleod05@gmail.com.

The benefits of TMW

Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing will gently flex, strengthen and ease your muscles, joints and connecting tissues. The movements will help to realign your body bringing greater balance, posture, co-ordination and stability.

Focusing on the flowing movements brings you back into the moment and can help to release your mind from stress and anxiety, allowing a calmer and more spacious state of mind to arise.

With this embodied mindfulness, both physical and mental tension can be released and your breath is free to deepen and flow naturally – allowing you to experience yourself as centred, grounded and balanced.

Connecting your mind and body in movement is energising – bringing a new feeling of aliveness, self-confidence and self-worth.

Gradually, with a new focus of self-care and kindness, your relationship to yourself and the world around you changes. Before you know it, you’ll find these benefits transfer into your whole life.
